The Battle of Clastidium was fought in 222 BC between a Roman Republic army led by Marcus Claudius Marcellus and the Gauls led by Viridomarus. The Romans won the battle, and in the process, Marcellus earned the spolia opima by killing Viridomarus in single combat.

Jabberd 2 is the sucessor of Jabberd. Both are Jabber servers. Jabberd 2 has been rewritten from the ground up to be scalable, architecturally sound, and to support the latest protocol extensions coming out of the JSF.

Lakefield is a city located in Jackson County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,721.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,721 people, 731 households, and 453 families residing in the city. The population density is 621.0/km² (1,611.0/mi²). There are 784 housing units at an average density of 282.9/km² (733.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 99.07% White, 0.00% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 0.12% from two or more races. 0.93% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 731 households out of which 28.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.4% are married couples living together, 6.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% are non-families. 34.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 20.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.24 and the average family size is 2.88.

In the city the population is spread out with 23.0% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 25.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 43 years. For every 100 females there are 88.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 81.5 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $31,250, and the median income for a family is $37,898. Males have a median income of $26,875 versus $19,932 for females. The per capita income for the city is $16,003. 9.0% of the population and 5.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 8.2% of those under the age of 18 and 13.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
